Argh, I am so pissed right now.

My asshat neighbours have a boxer that is the sweetest dog you ever met, but they let her run up and down the street like a wild animal. Personally, I don't really care, because I don't have a dog and when they aren't around I can play with her, but I am at wit's end with this whole "trash day" thing.

Every fucking trash day, never fail, their damn dog gets into our trash and all the neighbour's trash and makes a huge fucking mess all over the street. My dad has said something to them about it, and they apologized, but said "sometimes she just gets out." EVERY DAMN TRASH DAY? Well I am tired of having to clean up this damn dog's mess twice a week before I can go to work! I think the other neighbours haven't done much about it because they aren't home this late and don't know what animal is doing it. I really want this to stop and obviously the dog owner doesn't give a shit.

I know the dog is supposed to be on a leash, but like I said, I really don't care about that if only they would keep the dog in twice a week until the garbage men come. Never once have they offered to clean up the mess she made. I mean Hell, my cat lives outside but she stays in my backyard better than this dog, she runs from strangers and she isn't ripping open people's garbage and dragging food wrappers down the middle of the street. This dog spends the majority of its time unsupervised, unrestrained, and having free run of the block. My dad even watched one guy on a bicycle try to steal her.

Today I set the time/date stamp on my camera and took pictures of the dog eating my trash. I don't really want to restrain the dog, but I will if I have to. (Well, it isn't that hard, the stupid dog will follow damned near anybody.) This dog is in trouble the next trash day that I don't have to work. Has anyone had to deal with this before? I don't particularly want her impounded, but I would like to get the owners cited or fined or something. If common decency isn't enough to make them control their damned animal, then maybe having to shell out some money will.

Either way, I have to go pick up trash now.

I personally wouldnít so much pick up the garbage as toss in on the neighbors front steps.

Is it just me, or has asshat, like fucktard, lost its humor due to gross overuse? Itís a great big language folks, letís find some new humorous contractions. dickweasel, horsewanker, troglodoltÖ címon

I'd call the cops next time you see the dog running. The neighbor will get a phone call (and a ticket) and the problem will start to become theirs. Hey, tough shit if they get mad. We tried the friendly, neighborly way and THAT didn't work.

Oh, and as insults go, Waverly, I'm partial to "Pinhead" and "Dough-Dick Do-Nothing". Feel free to pick these up and use them as if they were your own. ;)

11-22-2002, 11:39 AM
Yep. Call animal control the next time you see it out. It's not like the neighbors haven't been spoken to or are unaware of the problem.

"Never once have they offered to clean up the mess she made."

Ditto on moving the shit to their front porch. Fuckfoons.

Call animal control on the god-damned nun-wankers.

If you're worried about the dog being sent to the pound and euthanized, you could always call the pound and say "I hear you picked up a sweet boxer today. Could you call me if his owners don't claim him/her and he/she's put up for adoption?"

My only worry would be that the numb-nut owners won't pick the dog up.

That dog is going to get killed someday. Those people are irresponsible pooterheads howzat, Wav? . PLEASE call animal control. And then call animal control again. And then again. And then again. And keep calling them, and telling the neighbors you called them, in a very calm and civilized manner. Inform them that their dog is destructive and unsafe, and you don't want to clean up shit and trash or come home to see its crushed and broken body lying in the road.

There is no such thing as "she gets out sometimes" without complicity of some kind on the part of the owners. If you cost them enough hassle and money, I think they will magically learn that it is possible to keep her in.

Not bad, Stoid and Echokitty... though I think lieu's fuckfoons is particulary porn-tastic.

Stephi, darl, I don't think you can wank a nun but I like the visual.

No charge, Waverly. How 'bout:

I always thought both men and women could "wank", so I'm not sure why a nun couldn't do it, or have it done to her.

Ok I think this is about as much thought as I'd like to give to the subject. Ahem.

I rather like "Bucket of Fuck." Kinda rolls off the tongue. But not literally, of course. E Once again time to stop thinking about this subject.

How 'bout "nun wanking bucket of fuck"? :)

Are they still home when it's time for you to clean up their dog's mess? If so, knock on their door, show them the pictures, and tell them to clean it up. If that doesn't work, call animal control.

I want to second fuckfoons. Got a giggle out of me.

When our dog gets out, we all chase after her to get her back in the house. It's not fun, but we don't want her to get hurt. We don't let her run loose.

I would call the neighbors the next time your garbage is strewn all over, and ask them to help clean it up, or you will call animal control.

If they balk, tell them you have their dog on video tape tearing into your garbage. Remind them you have brought this to their attention several times, and if they are unable to solve the problem you will have no choice but to solve it for them.

Thanks for validating what I've got plans to do anyway. I told my dad I've got it in for this dog/its owners, and he was OK with it. (I wanted to make sure he didn't have any problem with me probably pissing them off.)

I think when I catch her on my next day off, I'm going to take the photos and the dog back to them and ask them to clean the mess. Whether they actually do it or not, I'm going to tell them that the next time I catch her eating the garbage I'll be calling the county and having her impounded.

I had thought about the chances of the dog being hit and wounded too. Apparently there is a big black dog that roams our street as well, but I don't know it well enough to be comfortable yanking it around by the collar to put in my back yard. I don't think it "belongs" to the same people.

Yesterday I saw the stupid boxer (the moron's name is "Faith" -- I guess that's what keeps them from thinking she's going to get hurt or run away) following a woman with a stroller down the street. It was obvious the dog wasn't a danger to them, but the woman still seemed annoyed. I should have parked and taken the dog and talked to them then.

No, you shouldn't. The woman would think it was your dog and unload on you.

Let us know how it goes next garbage day. This should be interesting.

This happened to me from the reverse end one time. My Golden Retriever Milo had gotten out, torn open somebody's trash, and jumped over the fence back into my yard before I or my (now)ex-wife was aware (we were out of the house most of the day). The neighbor whose trash was torn into called us (his tag didn't have the address on it at the time) to let us know that he was out and getting into trash, and by God, we took care of it. We cleaned up the trash, and my wife went around to apologize.

Anybody who does less deserves a creative epithet, and I, for one, think it's time to resurrect my favorite ever jarbabyism, fuckchop. They're just fuckchops.

Yeah, your neighbors sound like a pair of miff-munchers. Hopefully Animal Control works the same in your area: if the lovely little mutt gets taken in, they'll have to pay to get her back. My brother's stupid beagle got loose once, and the fine was $50.

Call 'em a Happy Pink Sack of Violet Batshit.

You think you have it bad? Our Irish Wolfhounds used to get out (jumped a 6' chain-link like you or I would step over a Matchbox car) and run down to the flats and chase caribou.

Yes, caribou. Worse, the flats are where they stop for a few days on the migration path (which often includes my house on their pad-through) and so that's where the locals and touristy types collect to photograph them.

They haven't been hunted since the 70's, so they have little or no fear of us, but the 'hounds would lead 'em on a merry chase (what with being close cousins to Deerhounds, natch.)

So animal control would catch 'em, or at least call us to come get the damned dogs since a dozen tourists were complaining...

After the third such time (eventually put a top on the kennel, but we had to let 'em out occasionally, where at least one would promptly hightail it out into the swamp, since chasin' them buggers was so much fun last time) we decided we had to get rid of 'em. We couldn't let them run (even though we're in a sparsely-populated rural area) and leaving 'em in the kennel 24-7 is no life for a dog- especially ones that size.

Looks like you live next to a couple menstrual clots. Suggest that those scat licks move back to their trailer park or start taking responsibility for their fucking dog.

Actually, they are living in a trailer in their driveway because there house has been being treated for "toxic mold" for the last several months. I have no idea why, because it has never flooded once on our street, and unless they have a huge hole in their roof that I can't see, I can't imagine why they would have a mold problem. The consensus among the neighbours is that they got scammed.

Anyway, I have no idea how they've managed to avoid the deed restrictions here so far for the trailer, but they have. They still keep the dog in the yard but they also let her in the trailer too. I'm just trying to imagine living in a little trailer with three or four full grown adults and a big stinky dog. Bleh.

I notice that no one in the thread has yet mentioned one other big problem with letting a dog (any dog, never mind one the size of a boxer) run loose in a neighbourhood - not everyone likes dogs, and some people are actually quite afraid of dogs. I avoid strange dogs as much as possible, because they make me very nervous - if this was happening on my street, that dog would be getting impounded every time I saw it running loose on the street.
