Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell

The song by Das Racist is possibly the worst song ever, or maybe the best. It is definitely a love it or hate it type of song. I personally can't stop listening to it. The thought of a combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell never crossed my mind, but it does make sense, as they are corporate siblings. The song mentions the one on Jamaica Ave., presumably in NYC. Is there really one there? Has anyone ever been there? Are there more of these combination stores across the country? There are none near me. Maybe there combination KFC's and Pizza Huts, or KFC's and Taco Bells, too.

There are a good number of combination Yum! Brands stores. I think there's a KFC/Taco Bell in my area.

And yes, there is a Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell on Jamaica Avenue, on the intersection of Jamaica and 160th Street.

A couple miles from my house in St. Louis County there's a Taco Bell that offers Pizza Hut personal pan pizzas. I forget if you can get any other Pizza Hut items there.

There's a KFC/Taco Bell here, a little out of my way (which is probably for the best). If they had a KFC/Pizza Hut/or Long John Silver's, I would go out of my way far too often - I love the stuff. Not Taco Bell so much.

Here in SLC there is a Pizza Hut/Taco Bell combo place within 200 yards of one of the finest pizza places in the entire state of Utah, and within another 200 yards (in the other direction) of one of Salt Lake's best (very authentic and affordable) Mexican restaurants................

Always seems like the Pizza Bell/Taco Hut has all the business it can handle, when the other two places (both are family operated, independant and far superior) from my observations, are just holding thier own.

(I know that not everyone wants authentic Mexican or a NYC style pie; that some like the familiarity and convienence of a chain or drive thru; in a free market economy the cream rises, etc.etc.etc.)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For my part, when the mood strikes, where I will choose to spend my $$$ is a very easy call.

They should just combine all three.

Next to my highschool, there used to be a combo Taco Bell/Pizza Hut/KFC. You could get your Twisted wrap with your chicken quesadilla

Which two restaurants are you talking about? Also, I can think of two KFC/Taco Bells and two KFC/A&Ws in Salt Lake right off the top of my head. IIRC, one of the of the KFC/A&Ws used to be a KFC/Pizza Hut. This based on the other responses makes me think might have built every possible combination of two Yum Brands stores. Are there any A&W/Pizza Huts or A&W/Taco Bells? Any stores that are a combo of three or more brands?

EDIT: I see that KarlGrenze has confirmed the existence of a three store combo.

There's a Taco Bell/Pizza Hut right by my house. It's like 90% Taco Bell, though, all they have for Pizza Hut stuff is personal pizzas and breadsticks. So it's basically a Taco Bell with pizzas.

In my STL burb there is a Pizza Hut/Taco Bell. I hate those tiny personal pizzas and don't eat fast food anymore so I don't go. When I used to occasionally imbibe in Taco Bell I preferred the location without the Pizza Hut.

In Columbia MO where I went to college there is IIRC a Hardees/Red Burrito? But I don't know what the fuck Red Burrito is. On vacations I've seen the KFC/Pizza Hut/Taco Bell combinations - I might even have been to one with all 3 but I could also be making it up.

Yep, there are various combinations of Pizza Hut/Taco Bell/KFC/Long John Silvers/A&W. As others have said, I've seen combos of two and combos of three.

There are also combo Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins.

In the Chicago area, Portillos often combines with some of its sibling restaurants, but this isn't as noteworthy because these brands are not national brands like the previous ones.

I came in to mention that exact same store, and use that exact same phrase. (I grew up near there.)

Here in Indiana, there are Taco Bell/Pizza Hut combos all over the place. In fact, I'm kinda hard up to think of one that's NOT a combo.

There's a Taco Bell/Pizza Hut combo right near my office, and a KFC about 3 miles up from that.

I don't think there are any standalone Red Burrito restaurants, I believe it's just something Hardee's came up with to sell Mexican food. Here in the west where we have Carl's Jr. (instead of Hardee's) they are often combined with Green Burrito.

We got KFC/Taco Bell here. Given our proximity to the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, the mutant chicken jokes abound.

There's actually a stand-alone Green Burrito on Whittier Bl. in either Whittier or La Habra. It's the only one I've ever seen, and it looks very old.

I've never seen one, but I've heard of combination Churches Chicken and White Castle. I don't think I'd eat anywhere else if there was one near me.

Well they sure say Pizza Hut and Taco Bell in that song a lot.

I know there are some in the Chicagoland area. There's one in Lake County somewhere, I don't remember which town offhand. I think some of the Target stores have them as well.

I used to dine occasionally at this one, which alas has gone the way of Luchow's, Delmonico's and La Cote Basque.

I have seen tons of multi-brand yum stores around.

There is a KFC / A&W next to where my Step Dad works, and it is the only A&W that I know of.

There is a Long John Silvers / Taco Bell just close enough to where I used to live, to justify driving out to it, when I get a craving for Long John. Only LJS that I know of.

Now, In terms of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC? I used to live in an area that had one of each, full sized, stand alone. You could literally look outside the window of the KFC and see the Pizza Hut down the side Street. The Taco Bell was about a block down.

The sad thing about it is this.

I know that YUM! would probably want to merge the properties / franchises, but they can't.

Right next to the Taco Bell, is a Captain D's. Right next to the KFC is a McDonalds.

And the Pizza options are very good too.

Whereas the multi-brand strategy seems to work, and work well, the legacy of some locations is too great to overcome.

My hometown had a trifecta that was known as McTacoHut, although I don't think all three restaurants were / are in the same building, so it probably doesn't count.

That is what we called the YUM brand trifecta in my neighborhood growing up too. We also called the giant Baptist church that was so big it had a McDonald's on the top floor the Baptist Dome.

Back in the late 80's (possibly early nineties), I went to the "Three in One" across from the OSU campus. I believe it was one of the flagship stores for their combination innovation. Very, Very popular and it was in a huge restaurant space. Brand new to me, and I thought it was possibly the coolest thing ever, at the time. I'm a little more jaded now, but I have found that the quality of food tends to be better at the combination stores than standalones, for some paradoxical reason.

I do enjoy that I could get the KFC chicken wrap thingies and season them with the Taco Bell sauces. SCORE!

I like Coke.

I wish Coke would make a Diet Mello Yello to totally destroy Diet Mountain Dew (they have the technology). It's ashamed, they conceded and never even tried to compete. The have the best, and the most milde, refreshing, and real citrus drink and they gave up!

I have always prefered Mello Yello in its pure form over Mountain Dew. The stuff is ten times more refreshing on a summer's day than "Dew". Try it, take the challenge, it's a thirst quencher and less acrid. Dew is acrid, Mello Yello, is not... I think it's the esters.

Check out your local university. Odds are there is one of these combo packs in the Student Union. Limited menu from each, but something for everybody.

We have a "trifecta" as we like to call it of the TacoBell/PizzaHut/KFC, and I hate it for this reason. They never have any of the new sauces or specialty deals usually or if they do- they tend to be hardasses about it and won't make substitutions or anything that may take extra time. So I usually just drive down the road a lil' bit to get to the Normal Taco Bell that WILL put Lava Sauce onto my Grilled Stuff Burritos and Quesadillas.

Also, the Trifecta location near us is notorious for messing up orders and just poor service in general. It's more of a novelty thing- ooh "Fried Chicken and Nachos with my pizza" rather than a tasty practical place to go to.

I will add this about standalone Taco Bells - I eat at one on my lunch hour probably 3 times a week (my metabolism, but not my stomach will allow me to), as they have free wifi, and are practically in my parking lot: they have messed up my order exactly twice, and this was within the last week (beef instead of steak on something, although she didn't charge me for steak anyway), and the other was someone accidentally giving me both kinds of fruit on one of those weird fruit drinks. (and that was a good screw-up, anyway )

Actually, I could probably stop taking so much stomach medicine if I stopped eating at Taco Bell

In Canada they have combo Wendy's and Tim Horton's..... Mmmmm..... delicious burgers chased down by fresh donuts. I keep hoping those come south of the border.
