It was the fun god. You see it gobbling them up in the first panel of this comic.

I wonder what would have happened if Grier had tried using the Curly Sword like a corkscrew.

Honestly, I don't think it's that kind of story. It's not about Ivan and Mistress, or Greir and Navaan, or Vanka or the Snow Queen or Allegory or Kronar or Ponce de Leon. Or even Oglaf, the supposed title character.

There's no central story or central character to the strip. Cooper just picks up and drops characters for individual strips and stories with no overall master plot.

Sure, I didn't mean to imply otherwise. But Ivan is certainly one of the major characters, and I'm waiting to find out what's happened to him.

Of course, there's no official guarantee that he'll ever be seen again, but I bet he will.

He's probably whacking off in a closet somewhere, and shoving the enchanted semen into jars.

Forget Ivan. What's happened to the lizard of regret/guilt/whatever now that it's feeling guilty about Ivan? Does it have to haunt itself?

Unfortunately, Navaan likes men. As in, really, really, really likes men. And, to be honest, when has Grier been into sex other than to get a big bag of money for satisfying the Ice Queen, or because she's been taunted into an erotic wrestling match which she goes along with only to demonstrate that she can beat anyone at anything if she wants?

She went to the brothel to prove she could have fun. Although she ended up getting thrown out.

The question is, could Grier and Navaan, together, beat the sexy thief? (And does the thief have a name?)

This one's just silly, but after that mammoth story arc I think we're due a little gratuitous silliness.

The alt-text was the funniest part of the strip:
[spoiler]Once more unto the breech, dear friends[/spoiler]

(ok, why aren't spoiler tags working?)

When I looked at it, the alt-text was, "Don't call for the sexual foreign legion unless you're ready for their foreign objects."

The one you saw was better.

There are always two alt-texts. One of them only shows during times that the image is loading slowly. I understand that there is some trick to being able to call both of them up, but I've never been able to master it.

There are two ways to have alternative text - one is meant to be a placeholder for a missing image only, and the other is for tooltip-like hover text. Internet Explorer has always only ever used the "alt=" tag to do both, but correct use of HTML says the "title=" should be the only way to see tooltip text, and most other browsers comply.

By looking at the HTML code you get this:
Code:
<img id="strip" src="strip goes here" alt="Once more unto the breech, dear friends" title="Don't call for the sexual foreign legion unless you're ready for their foreign objects" />
She's taking advantage of the browser mismatch to have a secret message that half her audience would normally not see.

In IE, under the View menu option choose Source and a screen of HTML code will open- search for Alt= (there may be more than one).

In Firefox right click on the page outside of the comic, and then select view page source, then scroll down in the resulting window about halfway down, just under the line "lovingly rendered pictures of cocks" both texts will be listed.

I think I'd rather have a Slut Apocalypse than a zombie Apocalypse.

A couple of months ago, I discovered Oglaf dot com, and I thought I'd share it with you. It's a webcomic set in a (somewhat parodic) medieval fantasy universe with elements of other genres occasionally thrown in. It's definitely grounded in humor, but the fun twist is that most of the strips are incredibly, unapologetically, pornographic.

There are only about 50 strips in the whole collection, so it wouldn't take one very long to read them all. There are some through stories, but it's largely unconnected one- to three-strip shorts. Here are some of my favorites:

"Cumsprite" - The first strip in the whole bunch. Introduces the recurrent themes of magic, fantasy, masturbation jokes, and gratuitous nudity. Eight pages long; very NSFW:
SPOILER:
"Fountain of Doubt" - one of several on the Spanish Conquistador theme, and one of the few strips that is not pornographic at all. But I laugh out loud every time I look at this strip. Probably my absolute favorite:"Simon the Wanderer" - Hilarious unexpected punchline. NSFW: "Fresh Horses" - One of several with the "shapeshifter" characters, who don't quite get human behavior or sexuality. Two pages, NSFW:
SPOILER:
A few general thoughts on the comic.
First, the art is surprisingly good, considering the medium. I especially like the coloring (check out the Hot Bitches in "Cumsprite"). It looks like the artist/s put a lot of effort into each one.
Second, even though this is a humor/sex comic, the author shows surprising deference to gender equality and modern gender theory. Both sexes are shown equally often in power positions. Men are not universally slavering sexual hyenas, and women are not universally retiring yet coquettish ingnues. It's great to see that everyone can be the target of a joke, even when it comes to sex.
Finally, the author doesn't let sex get in the way of the joke, and doesn't (often) use sex as a crutch for his humor. That is, he doesn't (often) say "Well this joke isn't very funny, so I'll throw some tits in there to make up for it." Usually, the sex is an integral part of the humor. I find this pretty nifty.

Has anyone else read this? Anyone have a favorite? Or any thoughts?

I'm sure those links worked three years ago, when they were posted. Add a slash to the end of each and they will work now.

I think that was the beta version of Mistress, before the author decided to make her a human sorceress instead of an elf/drow

That or they're ignorant of the mechanics of conception. Babies can just as easily be caused by being downwind of miasmas or having your humors too warm.
